Finlog is a Mac app for household money. Your finances stay on your Mac. This page lists everything that leaves it.

Your data

Everything you enter lives in one SQLite file on your own disk. There is no account, no sync and no server holding a copy of what you spend.

The update check

Finlog only ever talks to releases.finlog.dev: to check for updates when the app opens and every 6 hours, and, when you choose to install one, to download it. The check carries the app version and your macOS version, never your data. Turn it off in Settings → Updates → Check automatically; you can still check by hand.

Downloads and hosting

Downloads and updates are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare sees your IP address when your Mac or browser asks for a file.

Neither finlog.dev nor releases.finlog.dev uses cookies, and both run no analytics or tracking scripts.
